Quick information for a better overview

The equipment database of the HSZG facilitates the university-wide search for expertise and equipment.

Since 2020, the equipment database of the HSZG equipment.hszg.de has been available to students, staff and the public as a valuable research tool that provides new insights into the extensive technical equipment of the university's basic units.

To date, 33 colleagues have entered and categorized more than 180 devices, including experimental equipment, in this database and enriched it with data sheets, technical drawings and other information. This makes it even easier to find technology and expertise.

Keywording, cross-references to the HSZG's Research Information System (FIS), links to combinable equipment, assignments to faculties and institutes and details of contact persons have already created a valuable and sought-after knowledge network.

Every faculty and institute is welcome to increase the visibility of their own expertise and fields of activity and contribute to the diversity of the database.

For example, the Institute of Process Engineering, Process Automation and Metrology (IPM) already uses the available interface of the device database in combination with the interface of the Research Information System (FIS) to automatically create content for the annual research report. This made it possible to increase visibility through the structured management of inventory, while at the same time saving time in report creation and significantly reducing potential sources of error.

If you have any questions, please contact and , especially for user registration from the Research Unit.
