On 25.09.2018, 24 employees from the maintenance management sites and revisions department of Lausitz Energie Kraftwerke AG (LEAG) visited the Zittau site of Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.
The guests learned about the university's teaching and research activities, in particular those of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (F EI) and the Institute of Process Engineering, Process Automation and Metrology (IPM).
After an introductory lecture on current aspects of teaching and research, various laboratories of the Faculty of EI were visited, such as the basic studies laboratory, the high-voltage laboratory and various smaller laboratories (EMC, control and drive technology).
In addition to the technical exchange on problems of maintenance management in energy technology and electrical engineering, the interest was expressed in maintaining a close exchange between industry and science in order to be able to meet the challenges in the field of energy supply in the future. The need to train qualified young engineers and provide them to companies as graduates was reaffirmed.
