Commissioning of the DAQUA test facility completed

On 29.04.2021, Sebastian Braun carried out the final commissioning of the DAQUA test facility.

Sight glass for recording the flow profiles

On 29.04.2021, Sebastian Braun carried out the final commissioning of the DAQUA test facility. The aim of the project of the same name is to develop a flow measurement system for wet steam. An electrical capacitance measurement method is combined with a hydrodynamic differential pressure measurement method in order to determine the steam and liquid mass flow, the steam content (steam quality) and the enthalpy of the mixture. Among other things, an optical measuring method is used for validation.
With the help of this new measuring system, it will also be possible in future to accurately balance energy flows in the two-phase area . It also provides reliable information about the local distribution of the liquid phase, which has a significant influence on heat transfer processes.
