To mark Europe Week, the Zittau power plant laboratory is taking part in the "Europe in my region" campaign week.
To mark this year's Europe Week, the ZittauPower Plant Laboratory (ZKWL) at Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences is taking part in the "Europe in my region" campaign week and opening its doors to visitors.
The ZKWL is a cross-faculty association of laboratory facilities for the investigation of energy processes under the leadership of IPM. The focus is on increasing energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies.
From 09. - 12.05. from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. there is the opportunity to visit the three large-scale test facilities, which were and are funded by the European Regional Development Fund ERDF.
Europe Week offers interesting information on the subject of energy research and the experiments taking place at the test facilities.
Over the course of the week, pupils from the surrounding grammar schools and technical colleges, representatives of Energy Saxony e. V., representatives of the Brandenburg Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy and the Saxon State Ministry for Science and the Arts are expected to visit the Zittau power plant laboratory.
The ZKWL test facilities include the THERESA thermal energy storage system, the MFLP magnetic and trapping bearing test rig and the thermochemical test field (TCV) of the Zittau power plant laboratory at Schliebenstraße 3. In addition, the doors of the test facilities at Pistoiaer Weg 1, Hall Z VII b5 and b7 will also be open.
