The IPM was delighted to receive a visit from LEAG from the "Maintenance Management Power Plants" division.
As part of the specialist event Oberlausitzer Energie-Symposium 2017 on the topic of "Maintenance Management", contacts were established with LEAG's "Maintenance Management Power Plants" department.
One initial result was a visit by LEAG colleagues to the university's Zittau site and a tour of the Zittau Power Plant Laboratory (ZKWL) and the university's Energy Technology Cabinet (ETK) on 21.11.2017.
At the ZKWL, the IPM provided information about current activities in third-party funded research in the field of energy & environment. The tour focused on the test stands for energy storage (THERESA and TCV) and the test stand for magnetic bearing technology (MFLP).
In addition to technological issues, aspects of maintenance were also discussed.
The events serve to exchange information and contribute to intensifying cooperation between industry and science.
