Completion of the International Master of Mechatronics

Successful cooperation between ULT AG, TU Liberec and Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences.

At the end of August, Ms. Eliška Veisová, student of the International Master of Mechatronics at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, successfully completed her studies.

Ms. Veisová completed her master's thesis entitled "Case Study of Industry 4.0 Capability for Fume Exhaust Units" at ULT AG in Löbau. The focus of the task was to analyze possible uses of methods and processes from the field of Industry 4.0 for use in the product portfolio of ULT AG. The work was supervised by Prof. A. Kratzsch (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) and Mr. Vogel (Institute of Process Engineering, Process Automation and Measurement Technology).

Ms. Veisová developed the prototype of the µLite measuring box as part of her Master's thesis. The measuring box enables the network-supported recording and evaluation of the measured variables provided by the air purification systems of ULT AG. The measuring box is universally applicable and can therefore be used on different extraction and filter systems.

The defense of the master's thesis took place at ULT AG in Löbau in the presence of representatives from the Technical University of Liberec and the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences. The excellent result of the Master's thesis underlines the good and important cooperation between the aforementioned partners. Ms. Veisová was also given a permanent position at ULT AG on 1 September 2016 thanks to her outstanding thesis.
